Keeping Parents Informed
Students are supported and reminded of the need to achieve the highest possible standard. Intense follow up ensures no one slips through the net. However, students being students, they neglect their responsibilities frequently and parental involvement becomes necessary. When there is a need, parents are called in to the school. Alternatively, parents who want to find out about their children call the school for an appointment.
"WebSchool" system allows you to view up to date information about the progress of your child (Grades KG2 - 12) via the internet. "WebSchool" also aims to provide a web-community where parents can receive the latest announcements as well as consult the school calendar, which indicates national holidays, important academic dates and the first and last dates of the terms.
We have now reached the point where we want to use this as an important method of communication. The main features of the system will allow student progress to be available to authorized users as well as provide parents with an up-dated report, which will be created for each child on a regular basis. WebSchool's main page will provide parents with up-to-date news and announcements relating to their child's school. These include school events, school involvement with the local community, academic news and sporting activities.
Parents also receive three reports per year, one at the end of each term. In addition, parents may meet with Academic Quality Controllers or, at any time, ask for a copy of the record of their children's performance and involvement in school life. Parents are given advice with respect to guiding their children in their work at home. When teenage children fail to do their work, they may be invited to attend after-school study for a few weeks to be shown how the work is done.
